What is a Double Charge tile?
Double Charge gets its name from the manufacturing process: two layers ("charges") of coloured raw material are pressed into the tile — a base layer and a design layer roughly 3-4mm deep. This puts real colour and pattern well below the surface, so light wear and shallow scratches don't expose a different-coloured body the way a purely surface-printed tile would — while staying more affordable than a true Full Body Vitrified tile, where colour runs all the way through.
